Template Manager

    • I am unable to access the Template Manager of two of my RT sites. one is awkwarium.com (using Alerion) and the other is lucastoledo.com (using Kirigami).

I have changed the templates on both of these sites before, under extensions - template manager, but every time I try to do so now, I get a '500 Internal Server Error' page.
"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I am at a loss about what to do. Both sites run Joomla 2.5, the latest version.

I do get the same error when I try to check for joomla updates on the administrative control panel.

I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section. This was the most fitting one I could find.

    • So, does it work if you use the default Joomla template?

    • I'm not sure what you mean. The websites are all up and running, and if I do go into the template manager and try to edit the default themes like beez & whatnot, they do allow me to edit them.

    • What happens if you turn on full error reporting and check the logs?

    • Thanks. I wasn't able to do it via the php.ini file (which i was unable to locate), so I did it via the htaccess file.

There hasn't been any change in my problem.

    • I am getting loads of 500 errors, while moving around the admin section. Installed JCE, 500 error, click on my template in template manager and get 500 error...

It is making it almost impossible to work. My problem is not confined to Template manager, it seems to happen all over the place.

    • In order to solve that you need to enable full error reporting and then read the logs.
