Login to view registered article brings up 404 error

Hello, I've been beating my head against the wall with this one. I'd like to have some registered articles that only members can view. I have it set up so that visitors can view how many articles are in a
category.
The error shows up when this sequence is followed...When they click on the category in question, it shows the names of the articles and has a link to log in/register if they'd like. If you click on that link, it takes you to the login component so you can log in. The 404 error page shows up after someone tries to login from this place. Then if you go back a page and refresh you are now logged in but not at the page you were previously.
any ideas?

Ok I have looked at this and I believe this is a core joomla issue rather than anything specifically RT related - so I suggest that you raise your issue on the joomla.org forum.
I can see that the URL are being encoded wrongly.
So instead of trying to go to
http://ymresource.com/page/all-ideas/172-all-registered/ideas/encouragement.html
It redirects to
http://ymresource.com/page/component/users/%2Fpage%2Fall-ideas.html%3Fid%3D1117%3Aby-your-side-song187
