SOLVED xml file not loaded (Oculus template)

After transferring my new site from a subfolder to the rootfolder I get a 500 error, xml file is not loaded. I know Akeeba is the best way to go when transferring a site and I've used in one than more ocassion, but it simply didn't work for my present site. It got stuck backing up my database and I couldn't find a proper answer on their site and posting a question on their board is only possible when you purchase their software. So, my question... is there a workaround to be able to see my template details again!? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try re-installing the template? Don't uninstall it first, just install a fresh copy over what you already have.
Did you ever pay for the Akeeba membership for support? Its really not much for what they offer as a product.
