Chart.js - how and where to configure?

Hi,
I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to work with the built in functionality of Chart.js. I'm currently running the Acacia template, which features the ability to include charts, but I'm not sure how and where you're supposed to plug in the data and manipulate the chart settings. I don't believe this is specific to the Acacia template, so hopefully someone can give me some tips on how to do this.

- I'm sure I could make that work, but knowing RT I thought there'd be a more automated method built into their system somewhere. Perhaps there is?
