Style issue of Read More - Clarion Template

Good morning. Can't for anything (even with Firebug) figure out why my Read More button is styled incorrectly.
Tried RokCandy to fix also but no use. The two blue buttons should have white text in them that says Join Now. Hover is black but should look like this instead
Can anyone point me in the right direction. I am current on Joomla 3.3.0 and the template is the latest as well. Thanks so much!

The code is incorrect . . .
Correct version =
<p><a href="/?page_id=2&option=com_wordpress&Itemid=199" class="readon"><span>Join Now!</span></a></p>
Incorrect version =
<p><a class="readon" href="/2014/?page_id=10&option=com_wordpress&Itemid=199">Join Now!</a></p>

- If you don't want to alter any css, you need to make sure that those <span> tags are included within the code . . . if they are not being added for whatever reason, then the styling will be off.
