    403 - An error has occurred Request Forbidden error on admin site

      I don't know what it was that I did but last night I was updating my website via the admin panel. Today, I attempt to log in and receive the following error message:

      "403 - An error has occurred. Request forbidden."

      I cannot log into the admin panel of Joomla to update my website. I have checked the forums and cannot find any other topics discussing this problem (or perhaps I didn't search for the correct criteria). I apologise in advance if this problem has been covered before.

      Can someone please help me? I have looked on the hosting side of things and I don't think the admin password is managed there. I don't know how to get access to my admin site now.

      I am very sorry about this, but I found the source of the issue and have now rectified it. Could someone please remove this thread?
