    Change URL/Apache permissions

Posted 16 years 1 month ago
    • I have two questions

      1. I have created a dev site on my laptop and would now like to change the name of the site. Currently I reference the site as http://localhost/dev.mywebsite.com and would like to change it to www.mywebsite.com .

Anyone know how I can do this? I tried changing it manually in configuration.php but then the site loads without any styling.

I am used to IIS, so my apache knowledge is limited.

      2. Also other computers cannot access the site, is there a built in rule in apache stopping access?
