On Shared Hosting - How to Only Allow Access Via site's Domain Name

  • On Shared Hosting - How to Only Allow Access Via site's Domain Name

Posted 6 years 6 months ago
    • Good Afternoon to all,

I have a website hosted with Siteground.

I would like to configure things so that the site itself can only be accessed if a visitor types in or clicks on the domain name, and so that it would deny access if the IP Address of the shared hosting was typed in or clicked on.

      Is this possible?

      Many Thanks in Advance

    • You should ask your hosting company about this and seek their assistance. But here's a link I found that may help you https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/95059/access-website-by-domain-name-only-not-ip-address .

This is obviously nothing to do with any RT products.

      Regards, Mark.
