Have you checked the login module settings in the Administrator?

Yeah. The only option I see though is "show greeting?" with a yes or no radio button... can't find anywhere to edit the text.
All I'm seeing right now is Hi <username>,
and then the logout button... ???

Under Languages in the language folder look for the user.txt file and find the greeting text in there. Once you change this it will change it everywhere on the board

Hello,
I'm trying to change the login greeting as well, but I can't seem to find the user.txt file.
Any suggestions?
I am using Joomla 1.5.2 and the Sporticus V2 template (full rocketlaunch)
Thanks!

Managed to find the answer to my own question doing some more google searching
The greeting is a parameter in the en-GB.mod_login.ini file (for english) in the language folder.
