    • Is it possible to take an OLD, sql file from 1.0 and upload it to 1.5 framework?
      I want to be able to transfer the information without having to renter everything..

    • If you keep backups and follow strictly the steps given in the doc, it should be fine.

      It works pretty well, it's just a matter of understanding that this only works with the core of Joomla and that you'll have to remake your template with the 1.5 compatible template.

      The only other trouble I ran into was that I wanted to do this while changing hosts and each host ran a slightly different php and mysql version. The solution was to do this migration first on the host that you are currently on, then move your new 1.5 site over to the new host.
