    • Hi,
I am using the mod_rokmininews on my site in certain places. I was wondering how you fix the link that shows up on the side...check by clicking the link below and click the word "Legislation"...that link is broken and I don't know how to fix it. I'm coming into the project after it was already begun and can't figure that out. Thanks for the help. ~Brandon

Does it work if you disable SEF?

The articles are not there I'm sure of that. I understand that there should be a linked article to the link under the "Topics" column... Can I change the "Topics" items? I guess that is what I really need to know as well. Thanks!

Do you just want to change the "section texts" or what? :)

    • Well, that link in the topics area isn't really needed for us, so I'd like to remove it if I can?? If not, I can put an article there, however, I'm not sure how that function is even supposed to work. Can you point me to another live example of someone using that feature?

    • Hey Brandon,

I vaguely remember, but i had the same issue with another template somewhere else (so it is not the template) when the link was being constructed it was adding a number after the / in your case is 47 when i turned on the search engine friendly URLs in the Global Configuration:

      -The Friendly URLs
      -Use Apache mod-rewrite
      -Add suffix to URLs

If you turn all 3 off i have a feeling the link will then work.... I think.... Give it a try... (I think you are not using all 3)

At least it will give you a clue to what is going on.... Maybe someone out there will know what is going on....

But it had something to do with a menu item not being created correctly in the "Friendly URLs" so i deleted the menu item completely (because changing the Type was not enough) and recreated it to get a new item id and then turn "Friendly URLs" back on and it worked.... worth the try

You can also try it with the Friendly URLs turned on.... but i had issues with that as well...

I hope it works for you, it is not fun when you get something out of ordinary!
