Virtuemart Scroller Images not displaying

I am attempting to get the images to display on the virtuemart scroller module and haven't had any success to date. I am using the rocket theme. I have applied the fix marquee img { position: static !important; } and the variation marquee img { position: relative !important; } to no avail.
The scroller does not work with either Chrome, IE7 or IE8. I haven't tried Firefox yet.
Apart from virtuemart, does anyone know what other modules the scroller requires to make it work? I suspect one or modules is either not enabled or did not install properly when I installed the template and its modules.
