  • Template and joomla hacked - need help

Posted 15 years 10 months ago
    • Hello everyone,

I took a look at my source code yesterday and realized my site had been hacked. It contains a lot of spamlinks like this <div style="display:none"><!--79444239-->When <strong><a href (... etc)

      Check : www.festivals.be/festivals-belgique/ just after the </head> !!!

Can anyone help me to remove this s*** and be sure it doesn't happen again ?

      Thanks a lot in advance

      Greg

    • I suspect you have a rootkit so talk to your webhost to see if they can help you.

    • Thanks but can you explain a bit what a "rootkit" is ?

What can my webhost do ?

    • I have many site and domains installed on this hosting and this one seems to be the only infected. In case of a rootkit, wouldn't all sites be infected ?
