    Almost there...

Posted 15 years 8 months ago
    • Hi guys-

I have always had someone else upload rocketlauncher onto my sites and then I have always changed the content etc. I tried to do it myself this time for the first time... I am 98% there. Please let me know the final step that I am doing wrong.

      My site shows up here....

      www.kutaone.com/Joomla_RT_Affinity_j15/#content

But when I go to the actual address I get this...

      kutaone.com/

Thanks in advance for any help-

      Mark

    • Thanks so much for your help.

I have a dumb question. One of the reason I have always had someone else upload the site for me is b/c I have never used a FTP client or directories or databases etc until last night. (I have always had a graphic designer who handled all that. I was on the marketing side of things.)

Can you please provide me with a couple of sentences around how to upload a index.php file to the root directory.

Also is this something I will need to do during every upload or is there a way I can avoid this step in the future?

Thanks so much again for your help-

    • Thanks again for your help. I actually know how to upload files. (only slearned in the last couple of days.) My questions are more around the Index file. I keep find info on what an index file is but not really how to create one.

Is there something I can do in the future to avoid this step?

    • To troubleshoot, Just upload a static file named index.html or index.php and the error will go away :)

This is the basic file which is needed by the site to function
    • Quick tips::
      1) Clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect
      2) Provide link to your site to help us help you better
      3) Use in firebug
