  • Solar Sentinel Formatting went away

    • quite desperately I have been trying to get the formatting back on www.la-palma-seminar.com .
      Before it happened, I changed configuration of sh404SEF (latest) for compatibility problems with joomfish 2.1 and jforms 0.6 latest. I also deleted a lot of the demo contents which was still there from the Rocketlauncher installation. Now I cannot get it back, whatever I try to redo or change. I uninstalled jforms, deactivated sh404 with its component and plugin. nothing helps. Installing another template gives the same result: no template formatting. I even have a slight doubt, that the site might be hacked.
      Can anyone please help?
      I only have the first backup which is looking the same after installation in a subdomain.
      So I am nearly doing a complete new install (hoping you help me to prevent redoing all my work of many weeks). Does the subdomain stay as it is when I install a new complete Rocketlauncher joomla on the main domain?

      for a start, could you disable rokgzipper or any other extension that is compressing css files?

      great you are there again for me ! I have not yet enabled rokzipper or any other compressing stuff. I also forgot Joomla is 1.5.14.

      you gave me the clue.
      I disabled the GZipper plugin and the wonderful format came back !
      Still don´t have sh404 enabled, as I am afraid of compatibility with JForms.
      will do a backup first..

      excellent, glad to hear that disabling rokgzipper brought your site back! :D
      Note: This plugin is experimental and should be used at your own risk. You should not use the plugin during development stage and should only activate it on a finalised site.

      Also, Gzip must be installed on your server and enabled in PHP in order to function.
