session.save_path error during installation

    • I am trying to install the Versatility4 rocketlauncher. I created a sql database. I uploaded all my files in a folder through an FTP to my htdocs because that is where my host said they need to go. I was getting a forbidding error until I put a php.ini file in my CGI bin as directed by my host company. I finally have gotten the Joomla installation page to show up, but I get the following message:

Cookies do not appear to be enabled on your browser client. You will not be able to install the application with this feature disabled. Alternatively, there could also be a problem with the server's session.save_path, if this is the case please consult your hosting provider if you don't know how to check or fix this yourself.

I made sure my cookies are enabled so that is not the problem. I found various posts on this subject , but none seem to be clear. There were suggestions about a .htaccess file, but again this was unclear. I have a htaccess.txt file in my Joomla folder in htdocs, but not a .htaccess file. Any help would really be appreciated. I spent hours trying to figure this out my self. Should I re-upload the files? Thanks for any help!!!
