Newsflash module position in Mynxx

  • Newsflash module position in Mynxx

    • I bought the Mynxx theme a while ago and my club membership is up... but I didn't know until tonight that the things is faulty.

I just tried using a newsflash in the newsflash module position and guess what?

the entire article is showing, overlayed over the rest of the page... it's not confined to it's little area! this sucks big time. I went and paid for a professional product and I get something that doesn't work well.

      Thanks!

I've tried adding "overflow: hidden;" to the css but it has no effect. I've resorted to putting a read more line to the beginning of the article to limit the damage but I could use a bit of help.

I don't really feel like paying $75 for another year of forum privileges to remedy a faulty product

    • Hi, i also bought the mynxx template... and on the contrary of hankandfrank my newsflash doesn't show at all on the newsflash area.

I'm using the roknewsflash module but still... nothing happends...

I tried to put it in another area and it works fine. But i think that if exist such a thing as "newsflash area" it should be work, right?

I tried to look at the template files but i'm not really a big fan of codes and stuff...

      Would anybody help me?

I would appreciate it a lot!

      Thank you!

    • hi mikuzi,

in the mynxx template parameters you have to set "show home button in top bar" to "no".
then the newsflash should show fine in the newsflash position.

I can't see the "Controls" though... By controls, is it mean the little arrows?

But thank you so much! :cheesy:

      hi again,

not sure why you can't see the arrows? are they enabled in the module parameters (yes, the "show controls" :) )

can you give us the link so we can take a look?

      thanks, kat :)

in your roknewsflash module parameters make sure to set "load built-in style sheet" to "yes".

    • Hello!

I cheked and i found out that... I do not have that parameter!

      All i have is:

      - Module Mode
      - Frontpage Items
      - Count
      - Category
      - Section
      - Include Mootools JS Library
      - Use Title or IntroText
      - PreText Label
      - Show Controls
      - Transition Duration
      - Delay Lenght
      - Preview Lenght

      And that's it.

      I don't get it
