    Solved syntax error - Heart Internet

      I posted this on Crystalline, but with hindsight this is probably the place I should have come first. Sorry to repeat a thread. :oops:

      I just tried to install Crystalline via the Quick Installation and all went well back end works fine then I went to preview the site and instead of my nice new template I got:

      Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/sites/7garrabost.co.uk/public_html/components/com_gantry/core/gantry.class.php on line 266

      What can I do to sort this?

      I have sorted out the problem and it might be of use to Heart Internet users. Heart Interntet - Xtend control panel has a Web Tools block in which there is a "Switch PHP Version" button and all that needs to be done is to click the button and it's sorted. Maybe other hosts have a similar set up?

      It would have been good to know about PHP5 before hand, I know it's in the print, but a LARGE reminder wouldn't go amiss I think? I do a lot of Joomla installs but not usually via a quick install system, normally via the hosts 'wizard'.

      Anyway, I'm up and running. Apologies for the double post, I realised as soon as I'd done it I was in the wrong Forum.

      Please help, my subscription ran out and I cannot open the thread:
      index.php?f=334&t=99211&rb_v=viewtopic

      is this a PHP error? I instaledl rt_juxta_j15-rocketlauncher.zip and now getting this error, but admin works, I need help and my subscription ran out. How am I supposed to resolve this?

      This is because your host is running php4, not php5.

      Please consider renewing you subscription!! :D
