How did you do it? :)

    • - Depending on your template/rocketlaunch you have used for the 1.install, check your modules "showcase-a/b/c/...." Only Showcase-a should be active on home-page, with Rokstories module.
      - Articles showned here will you find (or put) in section "Demo content", category "Rokstories samples" (or change section/category in module parameter).
      - Now I think the layout is better?
      - Menu, its pretty easy - follow link : demo.rockettheme.com/free/grunge/tutorials/menu-setup - choose menu style "list" - and activate in "header-f"
      - Activate mod_breadcrumbs in breadcrumbs position (check if any other active)

I think you will begin to get it right. You might have to disable/activate some other modules to get the whole front page to look good.

      best regards

    • John, THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING! :)

The biggest thing I'm trying to duplicate is the homepage header with the background image and picture slideshow. If I install the template as is (the free bundle template) but am registered with rocketlauncer, what plugins do I need for full effect outside of Rokstories?

Do you suggest I download a rocketlaunch for another template then simply switch template to Grunge theme? If so, which one?

      Thanks!

    • I did that. Used rocketlaunch with Juxta, and then switched to Grunge.

I think the main part is Rokstories module.

I guess you should get it right.

    • Thank you! I uploaded Juxta rocketlauncher and followed your instructions. (I never would have figured that out on my own, so thank you!).

I've got most of it, except the homepage header with the background image and picture slideshow. I have no clue where to even begin with that. How did you do it?

Here's the link to review... soartheweb.com

      Thank you for your help!!!!!

    • 1. You have to follow the instructions from "Kat05" in the beginning of this topic.

      2. Then - check your RokStories Module. This should be enabled, and in Showcase-a. In module parameter, you will see if: -You successfully passed the RokModule check AND - K2 Component has been found and is available to use.

      3. Check your Joomla Section and category in this module, that you have articles published. (I maybe used the install sample data - even if I hade data fra Juxta, not sure)

      4. When using a default installation like this - you also have to upload images for the articles in frontpage articles.

    • John, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you! Between your directions and those from the beginning of this post, I'm up and running. THANK YOU!!!

I do have one more question. When adding photos to posts to look like the template, do you have to place the image source within this code:

      <img class="floatleft" alt="frontpage" src="images/stories/demo/frontpage/painttruck.jpg" width="300" height="255" />

Or is there a way to do it within the text editor?

    • That - I'm not sure about. I would also like to do it with the text editor, but have not looked at it yet.
