children menu items and menu links, quasar

1. I have a problem with main menu when I am on my main page and hover main menu items (parent item:top). Children items don't appear when I hover main menu items with an exception for "home". Only when I go to a specific menu item and hover it once again I can see them. How to fix it? I want my readers to be able to see all the nested menu items when they visit the home page.
2. Second thing is I want to create a menu item which is not a link itsef. It is used to show the children items. In other words, The menu item published under top position is not a page or something like that. It shows the number of articles. So only the children items are linked to the specified articles.

ok, problem no 1 fixed. It was my fault. I forgot to check the main menu module and set Always show sub-menu items to yes.
Still looking for a solution to the second question.
