Hi. I had to update a roksproket module today and it broke after saving the changes. I have since updated the extension to the latest version. I have played around with all kinds of possibilities but to no avail. It simply will no longer show information in the descrioption field. The setup is the same as the demo version on Lumiere but differnt content.
I am stumpt. I tried publishing an image in an item and that showed. Again, none of the description fields desplay and the module shows blank.
Also, the preview and article limits show a ? after saving a 0 in those fields.

I assumed that the login details your provide were for username and password - this does not appear to be the case? Please check/

FYI, I rebuilt the feature module using widgetkit in the meantime to have congruency with the site. We are actually able to get along with it this way so I would say it is purely acedemic now as to why the roksprocket feature module will not display anymore. That said, it would be nice to revert back from widgetkit on this particular module if possible.

It seems that you have had the system page cache plugin enabled at some point at that has written files to cache. But... the cache canno t be cleared now as the permissions appear to be wrong? So you need to check the permissions and fix them and then clear cache.
Next the roksprocket is using "slideshow" layout and yet there are no images against any of the items? Perhaps you changed this from "showcase" layout?

Thank you for checking into to this. Yes, sometime along this issue there seems to be an issue with that cache folder. I have fixed that...thanks for pointing it out.
There is still a conflict somewhere and it seems that after I updated Roksprocket some small mods were undone (css). That said the core function of that module should still work as I didn't change anything. I also updated Gantry before the RS update and that may have affected someting as well. All I know is that the functionality of the module broke after saving a small change to the content. Yes, the module shows up if an image is assigned but the layout doesn't inherit the demo style.
The demo class used is basic fp-demo-showcase but seems to be ignored when assigning an image. The way this module worked before is that no images were required and it pulled only from the description fields to load content.
Final thoughts. I am not aware that RS modules can be redefined after they are published. Maybe it is a function of switching it to the right style, currently it says Features Layout? To my knowlege it has always been that for the FP demo which was able to render the HTML in the description fields.
Either way, the current rendered content from the widget I have running is satisfactory but it is always nice to know what the heck may have happened.

You can't change the layout of a roksprocket after it has been created "roksprocket - features" but you can change the theme within that type "slideshow" or "showcase" in the settings. As the module is called a "showcase" I would have expected the theme to be "showcase" but this is not the case here - in your roksprocket it has been changed to "slideshow" theme.
You should never change any of our original template files. All custom CSS modifications should be done in a custom CSS file so that you can safely update anything and not lose any customisation.
The lack of image in the slideshow theme is the reason why the roksprocket shows nothing (apparently). "showcase" will show.

Well duh! Man this happens to me sometimes when I'm in a hurry and over thinking things. Everything has reverted back and working including the CSS I apparently overrode correctly.
Thanks for the insight. I guess that cache folder wasn't letting me clear all the way through the issue too. I swear I never touched the Theme selector when I was in there the other day.
