latestnews module - to work properly?

I have various sections in my site and I would like to organize the latestnews module to only pull from specific categories within sections.
Somehow, I have managed to do this for all sections except Guelph-Humber media.
I would like the GH Headlines to only place stories published within this section, not the rest. For all the other sections the latest news only puts stories from those, but the GH one publishes them all.
