Afterburner: Unable to open configuration.php file

  • Afterburner: Unable to open configuration.php file

    • Hi - I've just downloaded the Afterburner template and I'm having trouble customising it - logo, meta tags, etc. It gives me this error: An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks!

    • Hello,

Check your permissions either through ftp client or your cPanel and make the configuration file wrieteable.

    • Thanks for that - it seems that the only way I can make it work is to put permissions at 777. However, I still can't amend the logo in the template file and it won't let me change the permissions.

    • You may want to talk to you host if you can't change permissions of a file. Once in a while files get assigned to the root server username as the owner instead of yourself.

The configuration file should work with 644 permissions though.
