rokgallery - select gallery fails on widgets override

Hi,
after the upload problem has been solved with the new version, I have problems creating a gallery widget. I use widget overrides. I click the following:
1) menu Design/widgets
2) Dropdown default settings -> choose another setting (Startseite)
3) click RokGallery, select showcase and click add Widget
4) click select a gallery
5) move the cursor over the dropdown select a gallery, dropdown opens
6) click on my single existing gallery (startseite) and nothing happens, the dropdown stays open...
When I do this sequence on the default settings, that is without the override (basically skipping step 2), everything works.
It looks like creating gallery-widgets for an override is broken (otherwise I am doing something wrong here)
Server Details (Linux/Windows, Hosting service, etc) hosting service: SunOS localhost 5.10 Generic_142901-13 i86pc PHP version PHP Version 5.6.14 Platform (name and version) wordpress 4.4 Template/Extension (name and version) RokGallery 2.40
