    • Hey Everyone, a friend of my is a DIE HARD Gantry fan. He's introduced me to the platform i can easily see it's very versatile and complete.

My question is why can't someone make a tutorial taking maybe a basic html/css template, or, even more from scratch, an initial design in photoshop and show how to make it a Gantry template and put it online.

Looking at the Gantry Framework web site, the documentation seems incomplete. Yes I know you can customize Gantry to your hearts content with CSS, and I'll also put out there that my CSS skills probably aren't quite up to snuff, but I'm just surprised no one has done this yet.

I bet a lot of people would like this and a tutorial to show the complete Gantry process from start to finish I think would help bring so many more people to the Gantry Framework and Rocket Themes built on the platform.

Some things I think should be included are:

      1. Renaming the base gantry template to an alternative name for your template
      2. Best practices for either adding html or working with the grid css to accomplish your design (best to do this by example on a template)
      3. Packaging your template up for redistribution and installation into other Joomla sites.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to start from "scratch" on a Gantry template and understand the whole way. I think it's the best way to learn.

      Anyone working on this?

    • Boy, I agree! This would be IMMENSELY useful! I'm struggling right now with trying to take a layout concept to a fully-functional Gantry site right now and am running into all sorts of difficulties that I'm sure could easily be remedied by such a tutorial.
