SOLVED Gantry 1.5 framework ERROR after install

I've followed all the steps appropriately (as described here:
www.gantry-framework.org/documentation/j.../basics/installation
), successfully installed a working version of Joomla 1.5, and then uploaded and installed the Gantry 1.5 framework, and then the Gantry template successfully. I then chose the Gantry template as the default. Yet, then when I go to view the root of the Joomla site in the browser, I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting
T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /nfs/c01/h11/mnt/10807/
domains/jalaka.net/html/components/com_gantry/core/gantry.class.php on
line 31
The error only happened after I installed Gantry (the install of Joomla 1.5 worked).
I have no idea what this might be about. Any insights? :shock:
My host server is the GS on MediaTemple (which apparently, runs PHP Version 5.2.14: s69855.gridserver.com/gs-bin/phpinfo.php5 )

Yep, this is a PHP4 issue as JEM already stated. I think you are running this one instead:
s69855.gridserver.com/gs-bin/phpinfo.php4 - Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.
