  • Gantry Template CSS Specificity

    • I am trying to teach myself CSS using the gantry framework and the gantry template. I have cleared out the template css files leaving the com files alone.

      Todays lesson is css specificity.

      I have add a background item to my style1.css. I am trying to figure out why the body element in gantry.css in the com_gantry is taking priority over my style1.css. If anyone could explain this to me I would really appreciate it.

      Here is a screen shot of firebug showing what I am looking at.

    • Shoot I just seen that I was looking at the embedded styles that gantry puts in from the admin section.

      So to change the question, if I want to override the parameters set in the gantry backend in my style1.css what do I have to do?
