    • OK - I can set up a page for a category blog with the latest Gantry template for Joomla 1.7 (v3.2.13) however if I try to display the Publication Date I gets the words "Publication Date" in bold. :cry:

      Oddly enough, I'm using the RokStories rotator on the home page to show latest blog posts, and it shows the publication date just fine. The problem only occurs when you go to the Category Blog page.

      And FYI - if I turn on the display for Publication Date on any single article page, it also doesn't show up - just the same bold text.

    • hi there,

      this is a bug that was introduced by joomla 1.7.3 (it was fine in j1.7.2)
      all other templates have been fixed with the latest update, just the core joomla template is still showing this issue.

      just to confirm that this is really the root of the problem in your case, can you install one of our other templates (fresh download) and let me know if the publish date works fine there?

    • I'm working with 2 Gantry templates. Nothing installed but those templates.

      If there is a fix, please specify it.

    • Well, they just released a new version, but they don't mention it in the notes.

      I suppose I'm just being a pest because there are a lot of blogging features in Joomla Articles, and it seems a bit thick to release several updates without fixing something most bloggers want - the date they published their articles - to show up. Especially when updating the template means re-doing what you described above. So I'll wait on updates unless there's an important bug to address.

      no worries, i understand the need to show a published date for joomla articles. yesterday's gantry update needed to be released urgently to address a major issue which was causing js errors and therefore causing troubles with menus, rokstories and other js-based extensions. anyways, until the actual fix comes out you can add it manually following the link i posted before. if you do have any issues with that, let me know and i will ask one of the devs to help you out.

      I'd love to see the forum entry, but I get a "You're not authorized..." message. I have let my developer subscription lapse, but I'd figure I'd be able to see something that corrects something in a free extension...
