    Responsive and IE7

Posted 12 years 6 months ago
    • I see that the current "Gantry" template does not include a CSS file for IE7.

Is IE7 not supported with the new Gantry? Are there compatibility issues with "responsive" and IE7? How do you recommend one approach IE7 for a site built on the latest Gantry template and framework?

and to clarify... I'm not looking for the IE7 to be responsive within IE7 - I just wondered how the Gantry template with responsive turned on should be handled within IE7.

    • Thanks Igor. I thought I had read that somewhere earlier.

Do you have an idea as to how most others are handling this when they leverage CSS3 and responsive design? Do they let the site look like garbage? Do they try to patch the really bad parts? Do they popup a warning screen?

I'm just looking for some insight. ...and insights i can share with my clients.

    • I would suggest you to turn on parameter in template config which will show warning message to the visitors with IE7, saying that they use unsupported browser
