SOLVED Question regarding visible and hidden module classes
Posted 11 years 8 months ago
Hi,
I have a roksprocket module in the content area of my start page. I have set the module class suffix to visible-desktop, so that the module is only shown with bigger screen resolutions.
I plan to implement the same module with just a single column for phone and tablet devices. Then I would set the module class suffix to hidden-desktop for the single column module.
Unfortunately the roksprocket module is still showing up on mobile devices with the visible-desktop module class suffix.
Do I have to use another method, to make the visibility of this roksprocket module resolution dependent ?

Hi there,
Please check your module suffix as I am not seeing anything in the rendered code.
Hope this helps

Hi David,
thank you for your fast response.
I checked it and in the modul class suffix of the module I have 'visible-desktop' as entry.
The module is embbeded into the article via Modules Anywhere. What would be the right way, to embbed the module into the article content in case Modules Anywhere will rip off the modul class suffix setting ?

Hi Christian,
Have you tried using the {loadposition yournamehere} approach?
Replace yournamehere with the moduleposition, which should be a name that doesn't exist in the template e.g. home-sprocket
Hope this helps

Hi David,
I did not try the loadposition approach, but will try it later and report back.
I will also play around with the modules anywhere settings, as other people also seem to have a problem with this issue.

t seems, the problem was the wrong mod_chromes setting, I used. I checked modules.php and there was only basic and standard listed, but I used xhtml.
So by changing the Modules Anywhere tag to:
