form disabled in sidebar

Hi i am developing a travel related site and its having a form module which suggests some related locations when typing in a location.......
i want to place this module in the sidebar, and the results produced by this module to be displayed in the component area.
but when this module is placed in the sidebar the suggestions and placeholders are not working....how to enable this? (if placed in other module positions its working fine, but i want this in sidebar and its not working there)

i duplicated the same module and placed one in 'content-top-a'
and the other in 'sidebar-a' and i name them with the position names
