I´m in mexico. I have a problem with Gantry Framework really frustrating because it is an online portal. I could access it through a tunnel un UK though, but I really don´t know if it is really online or has it been hacked?
It seems neither my server(in USA) nor my computer (in Mexico) are able to access anything regarding gantry-framework.org
The result is when I try to access my template the following error comes up:
I cannot access my template to modify it or clear its cache. Also my control panel is saying "Joomla Updates: Unknown" and "extension updates: unknown" I click and the same error comes up.
I´m wondering, I really don´t know but why in the world my Gantry template manager be depending on an external server functioning (in this case gantry).
Ok. It seems gantry site went online again just some minutes ago, I did a ping from my server it seems it has located it again.
But the problem persists at the Backend of Joomla, It seems it is related with Gantry dependent components like the Template Manager and the Update Manager.

With that being said, are you able to manually update the Framework or Joomla! for that matter?

Thanks I don´t really know what the problem was. Apparently every gantry template is connected to your server and my server was not able to connect to yours or so it said in the error and it gave me that error for full 48 hours. Everything is running now without doing anything.
the gantry template always checks for available gantry updates, therefore it's connecting to our server.
if you're running into this issue again, you can temporarily work around the issue as explained here:
