mediaqueries-custom.less being ignored

Hello
Up until now I've been able to easily configure the responsive media queries on my sites by creating a mediaqueries-custom.less file and uploading it to the /templates/rt_acacia/less folder.
However today I've got stuck whereby the changes in the mediaqueries-custom.less seem to be ignored by Gantry on my dev site despite clearing of all caches etc.
I can't for the life of me understand why this is happening now as like I said this process has been straightforward to date. Can someone please suggest what might be causing Gantry to ignore the custom changes in my mediaqueries-custom.less file?

Ok, so without doing anything since posting the changes I made (which weren't showing) are now showing.
The change I made to test was setting the h2 .title to 260% bwtween (min-width: 960px) and (max-width: 1199px). You should be able to see this. However, I've since put h2 .title back to the default size of 160%, uploaded, cleared caches and it's not showing.
What could be causing this delay?

Hi yep, I did that.
Also the changes in my previous post have now been compiled, so h2, .title is now back to 160% as I type.

Hi, is there anything that might affect Gantry's ability to immediately reproduce the less changes even after clearing all of the caches?
I'm using my client's cloud web space to develop this site and not my usual servers. Could this be some factor?
