Trying to install bbpress. Not supported by Gantry?

Greetings!
After using Maelstrom (gantry template) for a while on my wordpress blog I wanted to install a bbpress forum. The installation worked fine, but when I tried to browse the new forum something got messed up. For some reason the front page ( www.mydomain.no/forums ) of the forums shows up as a blog archive or something similar (without links to the actual category/forum, just the description). I've googled this issue the entire day, and found out that it _might_ be using page.php or so.
How can I get it to display the forum correctly? I can use shortcodes and setup a custom page instead, but that isn't optimal.
I also have a problem when clicking the author of a forum post. It redirects to mydomain.com/forums/users/myuser/ and I get an error. The error is "Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_query_type() in /wp-content/plugins/gantry/core/gantrybodylayout.class.php on line 94"
This also happens when I try to edit a post that is not the thread starter.
Could someone please help? This is driving me mad!
