RokSprocket + Gantry Theme - Localhost Image Insert (blank)

I'm currently working on a localhost (xampp) server with a fresh install of the Gantry RocketLauncher for WordPress. I'm also on a fresh install of win 8 using latest chrome browser (but same problem in all major browsers). I've Installed Rokcommon + Roksprocket.
The problem I'm having is that when I insert an image from the media library (for featured showcase - Roksproket), the image uploads and I can see it in the pop up window. However, when I click the final (insert into post) button it just shows a blank white spaced window and nothing gets inserted. I've been searching for 2 days now trying to find the issue with no luck. I've tried different server setups on localhost (wampp, xampp and zend server) and even tried on a clean re-install of windows 8. Still, the problem exists. I'm using all the latest plugins.
I'm not sure what could be causing this issue, the regular wordpress (insert image into post) works fine.
Any help would greatly appreciated as I don't want to have to develop themes on a live server.
