    • Hi everyone,

      I have a strange problem.

On a local site (so no link sorry) I have a white line at the top of my site.

I try different encoding with the firefox option to see if there are characters here and the answer is yes !

Each time I clean my joomla cache, I delete a gantry file and the line disappears, for one moment only !

If start again to navigate on the site, it re-appears !

So I need your skills, something is wrong with one of ganty file ?

    • I am not too sure about the issue, but a link to your site will help us to check it. Could you please make it online first in any temporary domain first? Thanks

    • Hi,

Sorry for the delay of my answer.

I can not put the problem online because the online version of the site works!

The problem is only on local environment (with exactly the same files and folders of course).

I post this problem on an other french forum with specialists of encoding.

For them the problem is about BOM characters placed somewhere in one file (or few files).

I check this changing the encoding option (to ISO-8859-1) with firefox option and yes I have BOM characters in this line.

      Please see this pic:

If I delete the using firebug (edit HTML) the line disappears.

When I clean my Joomla cache, I clean Gantry file and the line disappear too just for one moment (before other navigation on the site).

So I think the problem is about the encoding of one of the gantry file which need to be saved with the UTF-8 without BOM option.

But I don't know which one. I try the index.php of my template folder but it doesn't change anything.

      Thanks,

      Ryo

    • Another things, it's difficult to explain, but the first time I go to the home page of the site, the line isn't here.

It appears when I start to navigate.
