Module positions not inheriting grid classes

I am using the default rt_gantry template.
There is a module position of "navigation", that comes default with that.
I have removed that position and replaced it with "navigation-a" through "navigation-f".
However, those 6 positions aren't inheriting the grid structure and I can't figure out how to fix it.
You can see here that those modules are being displayed vertically, and are overlapping the "showcase" modules...
