    • The gantry template needs to be a gantry template.
      Means the index.php needs to initiate gantry.

      But gantry also expects some structure: css files, features etc.

      Best is to check gantry docs for that.
      I don't think it makes sense to convert a standard joomla template.
      If you want to build something on your own I suggest to use the basic "gantry" template as your platform to start from.
