Module repositioning according to screen size

- Some module positions move around when the screen size changes and that is great. Is it possible to customize this feature a bit? Let's say I want my module normally allocated to sidebar-a to display in top-a when I am in phone display. At the moment I have two copies of a same module at both these positions, they are either visible or invisible according to screen size. To save resource, I would like to have only one module that moves around. Is that achievable somehow? Thanks
