Setting readmore/readon styles to match pref. page/next page

Hi,
I am having trouble trying to set the styles of the readmore buttons to match those of the pagination buttons.
The read more buttons get part of their styling from the template parameters, and that isn't consistent with the look/feel of the site I am building.
You can see a page with readmore buttons here:

I want those buttons to match the styling of the Previous and Next buttons on, for example, this page:

Also, on a related issue, where are the < and > elements in the previous and next buttons defined (in the LESS files). I would like to change them to font-awesome icon-chevron-right and icon-chevron-left, but I can't seem to locate the style declarations.
