Style in a custom template will not take

Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    • I am trying to turn off the style in a custom template, but every time I save it and come back, it is back on. What the heck is the problem.

I tried switching the "SHOW" button to off, that didnt work, I tried simply unchecking it, that didint work.

      Running Gantry 4.1.10

    • So far, in order to get around it, i had to delete the occurrence of the custom-template and recreate it to get it to go away. i consider this a work around. Would like to know why I could not simply turn that particular style OFF.

      Many thanks,

So if I understand the DEFAULT template is set to some header image. On a certain page(s) you want the header image OFF. So you click the check box to enable the override setting and than set "Show" to OFF. You then in the assignments tab set this for the menu page(s) you want affected and then SAVE.

On the front end the override doesn't work and when you come back to the custom template it's as if your changes weren't saved.

      Correct?

    • This is mostly correct. The CUSTOM template has a main-body change and also this header image. I decided I did not need to modify the header image on this page so first, I simply just unchecked the box next to HEADER IMAGE in the STYLE tab. Went to the front end and no change. Went back to the template and sure enough, the check mark was back. So I turned the SHOW button to OFF and saved. (Leaving the the HEADER IMAGE box checked) and saved. No change. I went back to the template and turned the SHOW button OFF again and then unchecked HEADER IMAGE. at the front end, no change. Went back to the template and the check was still there and SHOW was set back to ON.

Only way for me to fix this was to delete the custom template all together and create a new one.

Okay, I'll speculate the first run was a DB glitch. Now that you've re-created the override template can you replicate this issue?

    • Yes. Now that I have created a new one WITHOUT the HEADER IMAGE turned on, I can not turn it on. When I do, Save and close and then come back, it is still off.

Could you please create a Super Admin login for me and PM it to me so that I can take a look.
