    Bug report Gantry 4.1.20

Posted 11 years 4 months ago
    • Hi all,

I believe what am facing is a Gantry bug.
I am using Gantry 4.1.20 with Joomla 2.5.16, clean rocket launcher install. I didn't apply any changes to the template manager or files and I didn't use css yet as well
      I installed Arabic Unitag 2.5.16.2

Tested the site in Firefox , Chrome and safari and faced the following problems:

In resolution 480 x 320 and resolution 600 x 800 view where the toggle button should appear , I discovered the following:

      1- Firefox

the toggle button appears to the right side of the page which is the correct place to appear in in RTL sites.
when clicked the toggle button the menu panel appears to the left side of the page and it should appear to the right.
the toggle button is enlarged and moves more to the right and is half covered
in resolution 320 x 480 the toggle button disappeared after clicking it and the menu panel appeared to the left

see attached pictures (firefox1.jpg and firefox2.jpg)

      2- Chrome & Safari

      the toggle button is missing
the menu panel appears (while it should be hidden) to the right side of the page over the page text.

      see attached pictures (chrome.jpg & safari.jpg)

highly appreciate any advice in this regards.

    • I am afraid that Gantry template is not properly tested in RTL web sites and languages. I will report this issue to our devs to test and fix this issue in some future releases

    • Hello Igor

      Thank you for your reply.
I see and understand what you are talking about. The main problem am facing at the moment is that I have a live site built with gantry 4.1.20 . This site needs RTL and thus am facing a problem with the customer.

Can the devs just let me know how to fix this problem manually before they fix it in the coming updates.

      Thanks

    • I am afraid that until devs release RTv3 you won't see much of them here in the forum. I reported this issue and as soon as they fix it, they will release new version which will include the fix

    • Igor, am afraid it's not only an RTL problem for Gantry, please check v4.1.20 responsive resolutions on chrome and Safari you will find bugs related to the responsive menu panel and the toggle button as well. It's not only in RTL, I just discovered this right now
