RokSprocket missing options

I am configuring a new Joomla 3.3.0 installation, using Vermilion template and when I tried to set up a RokSprocket module, none of the options are there.
I had a similar problem with the Template manager, but realized the account was not set for PHP 5.3.
set that in the .htaccess file (i have the following in the .htaccess file both the root directory, and in the /cmsrecc/ directory where Joomla is installed.)
# Use PHP 5.3
#AddType application/x-httpd-php53 .php
Template Manager options showed up after that, though I am having problems with making changes and them not taking effect, but that may be a cache problem with the browser.
When creating a module with RokSprocket, none of the usual options are showing: rockportchildcare.org/cmsrecc/images/RokSprocket-view.gif shows what i am seeing.
Would this be a php issue as well?
any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Making progress:
I tried saving the module, even though it didn't look right, then when i went back into it, most of the options showed, though not all.
Updated what i could, saved it and went back in, and it's looking better.
now RokSprocket is only showing Tabs Layout. that's what i want for now, but i will want to do a Mosaic version for another page.
This now seems similar to the problem i've been having with the template Manager: making changes that don't go into effect right away.
yesterday i made a change, but didn't see it until today.
Today i'm making changes to the template (like trying to set the slider on the Header layout), but it doesn't show.
Something doesn't seem to be right, but not sure where to look.
I installed Gantry Framework 4.1.24 and RokSprocket 2.1.1
Anything else I should check?

Just tried to create another new RokSprocket, and this time it gave me some options going in, and i was able to select Mosaic.
don't want to waste your time if it's resolved itself, but it does seem that something is not set right.
any thoughts?
