You can make gantry show a position (and occupy a space) even when there are no modules published to that position - you can also set the number of positions to force. I would avoid using this if I were you - unless you have a very good reason.

So If I'm only using two widgets, technically, I should only be using Two positions, correct?
And if I want to use more than two positions, I would switch on the "force positon" and Gantry will simulate like it's got additional widgets in those other spots to give you addionatl position functionality, correct?
