Gantry 5 RC3 and asynchronous loading of JS files

Hi,
playing around with the new Ethereal template I set up a testsite and let it run through Google PageSpeed.
Google complains about not having all the JS and CSS files rendered and loaded asynchronously.
Then I tried RokBooster and also JCH Optimize Pro for loading the JS files at the bottom - nothing worked no matter what I switched on or off.
I thought Gantry5 and the templates would load JS at the bottom? Am I wrong or hasn't this implemented yet?

- Bjorn some JavaScript needs to be loaded in the head this is because of the loading of the page do you have a url so we can investigate this further?
