You don't actually need to create any more sections. In Gantry 5 you can add more rows to a section by clicking on the plus sign on the section on the layout of your outline. In this way you can add as many module positions and rows as you like.

You can add the row and then drag the items around to arrange them as you want (e.g. you can move the existing particles down to second row and add new positions above (just don't leave the top row entry though otherwise it will disappear.

The thinking behind it is we don't want to put bloat into templates and slow them down with features that some people just won't use. Helium is also a basic FREE theme. Our commercial templates do have much more capability than the basic FREE theme of Helium and Hydrogen.
As I have already stated, most people would not need to add another section at all as Gantry 5 has the ability to add rows within an existing section. Also, you have the capability to rearrange existing particles and new particles however you want within those rows.
Finally, I also gave you the link to the advanced topic of customising theme files (if you really want to add a section). Sections must be added in the theme yaml files - it is not something that can be done in the backend of Gantry 5.

Is there a way to put back the Showcase section into the layout? I can see the place to edit its attributes in the styles part, but when I go to the layout area the section is not available. I tried creating a duplicate from the default page, but the showcase section does not show in the layout there either. I've read the "creating layout presets" documentation, but I don't want to create a new layout. I can't seem to figure out how to get this section back into my layout. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Megan Eginton - please don't post in one month old dormant topics - especially if your question is different. Please raise a new topic of your own and provide admin details in the secure area of your post. I also don't understand your question "put back showcase section"? So, please elaborate.
Regards, Mark.
