Hi,
1, Is is possible with the gantry framework to assign a module-title-icon per menu item if so how can this be done?
2, Can i assign a background image per menu item using gantry?

I would think about the page-suffix feature (under advanced)
Should be helpful here ...
(perhaps in combination with the mod-suffix)
and use your specific css-rule like
.your-page-suffix your-element {your rule}
in combination with your mod-suffix
.your-page-suffix .your-mod-suffx your-element {your rule}
to learn more about css-specificity...

Hi Alex Devine,
As henning suggested, You can enable page suffix under advanced tab and then, suppose, If you wish to have different background color for feature position set, Add this at end of template.css file:
.features #rt-feature{background:#000000;}
Now, You can add features suffix for page class suffix in parameters of any menu item and the feature position area for specific menu item will have the changes

1) Clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect

3) Use in firebug

Example:

I would like to edit the image per menu item.
For example i could have a football image on one page and a flower on an other page.
This image is hidden for guests.
