Chrystalline emplate preset change won't save, just spins

- Hmmm, same problem here (using crystalline, can't save custom presets of other - just spins). I too use Hostgator. Was hoping to find a solution here - maybe permissions were wrong. Seems Hostgator is the common factor?

I use HG and have never had a permission problem.
What could be causing the problem is how you load the RL package to the server.
If you extract the RL on your computer and FTP the files to HG, some permissions may be changed in the process.
Usually I upload the zipped RL to the root and extract it there, doing so takes care of the usual missing / corrupt files, or permission changes. - Thanks,

I had actually used the "upload the zip file to the server" and extracted it there - mainly because I kept having ftp issues trying to upload the pieces..
I just tried the launcher package on a fresh server (same server - diff domain, diff account) and url but got the same results. Simple test is to try and turn off the branding in the admin/templates/rt_cry.../features and press apply or save - the progrss thingy just spins. It also hangs when trying to save a preset.
Beats me..

Really strange if you are on HG, I have yet to run into a problem.
Default is curl enabled and 64MB in the php.ini.
The only thing I can think of if that you are running php4, not 5.
(Not sure what their default is, but the first think I do is make sure it's php5)
Can you ensure you're using php5 via the CP? - Thanks,

I found the solution to my problem. Not sure if it will help you or not.
I put a DirectoryIndex directive in the .htaccess file to point to index.html so that the current live site would show and not the Joomla site that was under development. Once I took that away, the template saved fine.

I appreciate all your suggestions but:
- SEF is off (default install config)
- Php is 5.2
- I can save a custom colors preset when logged in from the front-end as admin
- Just can't save a custom features or preset from admin in the back-end
- and I haven't touched htaccess
Just did the basic rocketlauncher install, no mods, and then tried testing it.
Apache version 2.2.17
PHP version 5.2.14
MySQL version 5.1.52

I recently switched to Hostgator and haven't had an issue or downtime yet. Send me your Admin info and I'll gladly take a look.
