Gantry css VS template css

    • Hi there

      Whenever I change a color via the color chooser, i get a grey-looking sidebar. Although the template CSS-file (under templates/crystalline/css) uses the correct background-color for the sidebars (a-b-c), the gantry-CSS(.php)-file (for example: addleetje.be/components/com_gantry/css/c...1b66e4dead744074.php , under components/gantry/css) overrides the color i've chosen with this: #rt-sidebar-a {background-color:#e0e0e0;} #rt-sidebar-b {background-color:#e9e9e9;} #rt-sidebar-c {background-color:#f0f0f0;}.

Deleting the css.php-files doens't help because they're 'autocreated' and even adjusting them with the correct colorcode doesn't get me anywhere (i think it should be defined as 'transparent', no? That fixes the problem, but only until i refresh...).

As to be seen on http://www.addleetje.be , it doesn't look too pretty. Why is this error occurring and does anyone have a solution to this problem? I've downloaded the latest gantry-update and tried different rt-templates, but all with the same sidebar-problem (with panacea even the rt-container in the header is defined as white in the gantry-css, while it should be transparent as it is in the template-css)

    • hi there,

the php files with a very long random name are created by rokgzipper, which should stay disabled until your done with developing your site.

disable that plugin, then clean your joomla cache under > tools > clean cache, then clean your browsers cache.

then reapply any changes and see if that works better.

    • RokGZipper has been superceeded by RokBooster so please uninstall RokGZipper and use RokBooster instead :)

    • Hi,
The plugin name seems indeed to be RokGZipper.

    • When I uninstall it, my entire menu gets all wonky again. Is there anyway to sort that out whitout having to change all those .css files? Can I make sure that the php files that RokGzipper creates stay the way they are for example? If not, can I just copy the contents of the php files into the css files? Without any addional editing? Thanks!

    • Hi Claus,

The CSS from your site is controlled by the CSS styles sheets. What RokGZipper does is to combine them all into one file to make it faster loading.

What Prim is saying is that we have since created a new compressor and it is called RokBooster. In basic terms it does the same as RokGZipper but it does it better :cheesy:

As with all changes, take a backup of your site before you uninstall RokGZipper and then install RokBooster.

      Hope this helps 8)
