Gantry 3.2.13 and Mercado 1.6.6 template not accessible

Hello,
I had recently installed the latest update for Gantry and the Mercado template is no longer accessible. Currently Gantry 3.2.13 and Mercado 1.6.6 template are installed on Joomla 1.7.3. Clicking on the Gantry and Mercado template administration links will result in "XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 13" error message. I had Mercado 1.6.2 when the problem started after updating Gantry via the automatic Update and Discover functions. Updating the Mercado template to the latest 1.6.6 didn't help. I have reinstalled both Gantry and Mercado template to no avail.
I've searched around and there are a few people with the same "XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 13" problem with no solution advised yet. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you!
